Let me share my experience with Randy Loubier. Randy came to our company while we were at the lowest point any company could be. We had experienced a fire two years earlier which destroyed our building, and although I thought that was the lowest point in my life, this was worst: we were hemorrhaging money with losses of hundreds of thousands of dollars each month, and we did not know how to get ourselves out of the downward spiral.
Randy’s first job was to get a handle on the company and to identify the problems as he believed they existed. His most profound statement was that in his experience there was a formula to the success of any business and he was going to find it. He proceeded to observe and understand our business, asking the pertinent questions. I knew he was on the right track from the way his thorough process was being formulated. Within three weeks he had picked up signals on where the bleeding was coming from, and he put to rest theories of past analyses we had done.
With three partners in the business, we all had our opinions on what approach to take. With the constant pressure from mounting losses, in-fighting and stubbornness were prevalent. Randy handled all of it with grace. His dedication was unwavering and his assistance was priceless. He was fully committed to stick with a business which was dying. He gave of himself more than many would by spending months away from the most precious things in his life (his family) to help three strangers who were in a serious situation. I must say I am not certain that I would have had the stamina to do as he did.
He was tested to what I believe were the limits of his inner strength, but he persevered. I grew to respect this man as one of the few great men I have had the opportunity to know in my career. This man carried an even temperament, stated the facts and never wavered from his assignment: to bring our business back to profitability and then to a successful conclusion with the lendors.
He opened the lines of communication with the entire company. He made people excited about working again. Through his leadership he motivated people to do things we never expected possible. Productivity sky rocketed with fewer people—all the employees started working together like they never had before.
This man is truly blessed with a skill and wisdom for success and I have witnessed it. I am not a person who believes that many people are meant for leadership or that there are many great leaders. In the past 35 years of my career I have met just a handful but I will state right here and now Randy Loubier is a great leader and more than that he has a compassion to be successful with whatever he touches.
I invite anyone with thoughts of hiring or working with this man, and has doubts, to call me for a personal conversation. I will answer any of your questions and relieve any of your doubts,
